Doxiefun –that’s what we are all about as members of the Chicago Dachshund Lovers. One look at our comical little dogs and your spirit is instantly lifted! Imagine the excitement of 20-30 dachshunds all in one place. Well, that’s how it is at one of our monthly meet-ups!
Monthly meet-ups are not only fun, but also a great way to socialize your dog. You can kick back, relax, and enjoy the company of other doxielovers like yourself…while your dog enjoys playing with dogs of the same size.
Occasionally we include special events with our meet-ups. In the past we have celebrated birthdays, held wiener races, exchanged gifts for the holidays, have had guest speakers on dog health issues and a dog communicator visit the meets. We’ve also hosted two larger events. Our Halloween Party included a costume contest and bobbing for carrots! In February, we host the ‘Stolen Hearts’ fundraiser to benefit MWDR. In 2007 we raised over $9000.00 for the Anti-Cruelty's Bark in the Park, winning the events "Team Challenge"!
